From mummy duty to style diva! All in a day's work for Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani had a family day out yesterday, taking her son for a mani-pedi, a spot of lunch with husband Gavin Rossdale before heading to the shops.

The No Doubt singer was having a full-on mummy duty day before getting glammed up later in the evening for a Fashion's Night Out event in New York.

Gwen and her sons Zuma and Kingston Rossdale left their NYC home and jumped into a yellow cab together.

The singer looked effortlessly stylish even with having to care for a couple of toddlers.

She wore plaid trousers, a white t-shirt and black leather jacket. Her green trilby hat and matching glasses ensured she kept up with her rocker chick credentials.

The family then met up with Gavin and went to the nail salon to get pampered. 4-year-old Kingston seemingly wanted to play dress up with his mum - also got a mani-pedi too.

He exited the salon with hot pink nail polish on his toes. This isn't the first time Kingston's been seen wearing colour on his nails.

Earlier this summer he's also sported blue toe nails and yellow polish on his fingers.

The family then headed for lunch before going shopping in the Soho district of New York.

Hours later Gwen glammed up to attend the Sephora celebration of Fashion's Night Out.
She wore a strapless patterned mini dress that cinched her waist but had multi-layers on the sides that gave it an edge.

She wore black tights and strappy heels which showed off the pedicure she had got earlier.

Gwen's known for being daring with her fashion and has her own clothing line L.A.M.B which eclectically takes influences from Guatemala, Japan and Jamaican styles.


Many hats: It's been a long day for Gwen but she makes it all look easy striking a pose at the event. As well as being a mother of two, Gwen is a singer, designer and has her own clothing, accessories and fragrance lines
