But the girls were only too happy to chat to the Crown Prince of Bahrain yesterday at Royal Ascot, along with their father Prince Andrew.
It comes just weeks after the Duchess of York was caught out selling access to her former husband to what she thought was a wealthy sheikh. He turned out to be undercover reporter Mazher Mahmood.
She was filmed by the News Of The World pocketing $40,000 (£27,600) in cash as a down payment for the £500,000 deal.
But luckily for the Princesses yesterday, Prince Salman Bin Al-Khalif was definitely the real thing.
They were joined by their grandmother, the Queen, who was applauded as she arrived at the Berkshire racecourse in a horse-drawn carriage.

The youngest princesses were wearing eye-catching outfits, with Princess Eugenie in a bright pink hat and her sister wearing a gold silk dress and navy jacket.
Celebrities enjoying the racing included actress Joan Collins, sporting a white Philip Treacy hat to set off her outfit of a floral turquoise and white jacket with puffed sleeves and a simple white dress.
