No wonder Russell promised to quit womanising! Super fit Katy Perry hits the gym in hotpants

End of the road for Russell: Katy Perry hit the gym in a tight-fitting outfit of sports vest and hotpant style shorts revealing her figure that won comic Brand's love

Russell Brand publicly hung up his philandering boots when he got together with I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry and it's not hard to see why.

The pop singer hit the gym in a tight-fitting outfit of sports vest and hotpant style shorts revealing her enviable figure.

While Katy, 26, appeared a little coy preferring to keep her face shielded by her LA Dodgers baseball cap.

She was clearly not shy about flaunting her toned figure in the blue and red piped outfit as she headed to her West Hollywood gym.

And just to ensure that she stayed on track, she carried a packed lunch together with her quilted Chanel handbag.

Miss Perry will be hard at work getting herself in trim for her impending wedding to the British funnyman, which is set to take place in just a few months time.

Meanwhile, her fiancee was attending a press call at the Apple store in Soho, New York with Get Him To The Greek co-star Jonah Hill.

Russell recently spoke to Complex Magazine about his nerves on his first date with the pop star and how falling for her brought about an immediate end to his womanising.

He said: 'When we went for a date, I was nervous. Normally, I'm good at first dates… But everything I was saying was falling flat.

'I used to take drugs in the past, and there was a little bit where it felt like I took too much acid or too much coke or something… and I had to sort of ground myself, 'cause I felt like I was falling in love with her really quickly.

'From that first date with Katy, I didn’t return another call to another girl. I didn’t go anywhere, didn’t mess around with anybody at all. It’s almost been a relief.'

And, asked whether he was still affected by the temptation to stray, he said: 'It’s a bottomless pit. It’s not like you could ever fill that. But before Katy I’d never met anyone before where I thought, ‘OK, this makes sense’. This is now a time to make an effort.'

On the cover of the magazine Brand pokes fun at his image as a lothario, posing amongst a gaggle of bikini-clad girls, with a handwritten message stating: 'Dear Complex, I accept these gifts on behalf of the Queen. Russell Brand, xx'.

Later in the interview the comedian went on to jest about his forthcoming wedding, joking that it would be a 'festival of decadence'.

He said: 'It’s going to be indulgent. Everyone’s going to be topless, the bride, the groom, that’s me, our parents, all topless. It will be a festival of decadence. The first thing we’re going to do is slaughter a swan. That’s to the god Zeus.

'Our wedding is essentially going to be a recreation of the greatest moments in mythological history.'

He also spoke to Elle magazine about his relationship, asked about the speed at which he got serious with Miss Perry, Brand commented: 'I bet people do that everywhere; it's just that you're not so aware of it when someone from Greggs bakery marries the butcher within five weeks.'

The couple, whose combined fortune runs into millions, are reported to have said they do not want any wedding presents.

Brand was quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: ‘Given that Katy and I both have good jobs, we don’t want any presents. It would be a massive indulgence.’
