Where did he get the idea from? Brooklyn Beckham takes inspiration from dad David with Chinese 'tattoo' on his wrist

Showing off a new inking: Brooklyn Beckham had a Chinese-style 'tattoo' on the inside of his wrist

His father is covered in hundreds of tattoos and even has 'sleeves' covering his arms.

So it's no wonder David Beckham's son Brooklyn has decided to take inspiration from his footballer father, stepping out with a Chinese-style 'tattoo' on the inside of his wrist.

The 11-year-old debuted the inking, which appears to be a transfer, as he took to the football pitch with David and his brothers Romeo and Cruz following LA Galaxy's victory against FC Dallas.

Design: The tattoo is thought to be a transfer

Running around on the field at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California, Brooklyn was clearly proud of the Chinese design, wearing a short -sleeved T-shirt to show it off.

Talking last year, David said his sons had asked him what age they had to be to get a tattoo.

He said: 'One of them said to me recently: "How old do I have to be before I get a my first tattoo.",' he revealed on the NBC Today Show yesterday.

'I was like "A lot older than you are now."'

Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz had watched the game with mother Victoria, who took time off from her blossoming career as a successful fashion designer to support her husband.

Victoria, 36, wore her trademark sunglasses to watch the game, and was even joined by an unlikely friend in the form of Matt Lucas from Little Britain.

The boys were just as excited the day before David's game, as they attended the Kinect for Xbox 360 launch party, held at a private residence in Beverly Hills and hosted by High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale.

With their trendy T-shirts, brightly coloured bracelets and good looks, the three boys looked very much like they were a chip off the old block.

Romeo, eight, with his beanie hat and white T-shirt, even looked like he was trying to imitate his fashionable father.

And while cute five-year-old Cruz wore a Superman T-shirt, Brooklyn stuck to his own style in a grey patterned T-shirt.
