Next on the list - quit smoking! Newly slim Kerry Katona just can't kick the cigarettes

Nasty habit: Kerry has managed to shed the pounds but not kick the cigarettes

It looks like fat camp worked!

Kerry Katona debuted her new slim figure yesterday, in a black tracksuit, green T-shirt and grey baseball cap.

However, despite clearly being on the way to losing the three stone she was aiming to shed, there is one habit Kerry hasn't managed to kick - smoking.

A shadow of her former self: Kerry looked significantly slimmer (left) than she did last March, at the height of her personal and professional troubles

The 29-year-old happily puffed away on a cigarette as she arrived home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, to see her four children and husband Mark Croft.

Last month, Kerry went to 'fat camp' in Kent, a two-week intensive exercise and diet course that the star hoped would help get her weight loss back on track.

Her latest effort to shift the pounds comes 17 months after she underwent £15,000 worth of liposuction and a breast reduction.

Slim: Kerry's weight loss is also noticeable from behind

The drastic surgery came just four months after she gave birth to her son Maxwell, now 21 months.

Because she was bankrupt at the time, producers of her MTV reality TV show footed the bill.

Following the surgery, she overhauled her eating regime and lost more weight with the help of her personal trainer Scott Wright, who played mechanic Sam Kingston in Coronation Street in the early Noughties.

By spring last year, Kerry had gone from 12 stone to 8 stone and was flaunting her new slimline figure in tight-fitting dresses.

She said at the time: 'I was 14 stone, maybe a little over when I was pregnant with Max, then afterwards I stayed about 12 stone.

However, as she struggled to overcome her financial woes and experienced marriage troubles with husband Mark, Kerry began to seek solace in food and piled on two stone in two months.

Kerry is now planning to lose the weight over the next year.
