Critics of hard-living singer Amy Winehouse had better watch out – she is practising knife-throwing, whip-cracking and lassoing.

Amy, 27, is being taught the skills at Circus Space, in East London. ‘She has been attending workshop courses and learning arts such as knife-throwing,’ says a source.

‘The circus acts have been a real focus for her energy. She signed up for trapeze initially following a recommendation from Sadie Frost.

But she has become addicted to whip-cracking and lassoing classes.’
