It's a boys' day out for David Beckham as he takes his sons to the football... but they're more interested in their Woody

Boys' day out: David Beckham watched AC Milan take on Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium with sons Brooklyn (right) and Romeo

They might be the sons of arguably the world's most famous footballer, watching two of the greatest teams play at one of England's best stadiums - but David Beckham's children seemed more interested in their Woody doll than the game.

Beckham took sons Brooklyn, 11, seven-year-old Romeo and Cruz, five, to watch Arsenal take on his former team AC Milan at Emirates Stadium this afternoon.

But instead of watching two teams compete in the Emirates cup, Beckham's brood were more interested in playing with their Toy Story 3 Woody doll

But Brooklyn and Romeo did show their support for AC Milan by wearing team shirts, while Cruz hedged his bets in a red T-shirt.

Despite his children apparently finding their toys more interesting than the game, Beckham made sure he kept a close eye on the match, which ended with a 1-1 draw, ahead of his return to LA Galaxy on August 9.

The 35-year-old sportsman has been out of action after rupturing his Achilles tendon last year.

However, while the injury caused Beckham to miss out on the chance of playing for England during this summer's World Cup, a successful operation means he will soon be making his return to the football field.

But in the meantime, Beckham and wife Victoria are making the most of their time off and are planning to spend the majority of the summer in London.

Earlier in the week, the happy couple, who celebrated their 11th wedding aniversary last month, spent the day shopping on London department store Selfridges, stocking up on some essentials.

It was recently reported that Beckham may be signing with West Ham, after the team showed interest in signging the footballer, but these reports were soon denied.

A spokesperson for Beckham said: 'Whilst it's flattering to hear of interest there has been no contact with or offer from West Ham.

'David is happy at the Los Angeles Galaxy and has no interest in leaving, and is looking forward to returning to the team on August 9.'
