Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to become a father for the second time amid rumours his stunning girlfriend is pregnant.

The football star, 26, is said to be preparing a summer wedding after proposing to underwear model Irina Shayk on Valentine's Day.

And reports in his native Portugal claim the 25-year-old Russian may be expecting their child.


Newspaper Correio da Manha said she had been seen sporting a small bump - as well as showing off her diamond engagement ring.

A friend of the ex-Manchester United star told the paper: 'Cristiano loves being a father.

Although they weren't planning having a baby so soon, the truth is that nothing makes him happier than his son.

'And the birth of the boy awakened Irina's desire to become a mother.

'They had been talking about marriage. Cristiano wanted something very special and romantic, and on Valentine's Day he travelled to New York to surprise Irina.

'He asked her to marry her.' The friend said Ronaldo's mum Dolores wants the couple to marry in the footballer's home town of Funchal, on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

The friend said: 'At the moment there are lots of options open, but if it were down to Ronaldo's mother the wedding would be in Madeira.

'She wants a very traditional, religious ceremony.
'But Cristiano and Irina will decide the venue.

'Cristiano and Irina are going through an avalanche of emotions, and it's not easy for them to manage their relationship with such demanding careers.

'Getting married and having a family has always been one of his objectives, and the time has come.

'He's always talking about Irina, and you can see in his eyes how much he loves her." Ronaldo is said to have jetted 4,000 miles from Barcelona to New York to propose on Valentine's Day.

Irina, 25, was snapped with a sparkling new diamond ring after the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner in the Big Apple.

Ronaldo jetted to the US on February 13 after his side beat Espanyol 1-0 in an important league clash.

He met Irina with a single red rose at the studios of the Late Show With David Letterman, at the Ed Sullivan Theater, where she was a guest.

Spanish gossip magazine Que Me Dices claimed he proposed after the dinner.
Ronaldo's representatives have refused to comment on the marriage and pregnancy rumours.

His management company Gestifute said: 'We're not authorised to talk about this.'
And the model's agent Lorenzo Martone refused to confirm or deny the reports.

Ronaldo, who left Manchester United for Real Madrid for a world record POUNDS 80 million, has been dating the 5ft 10ins green-eyed beauty for ten months.

The £250,000-a-week star left his eight-month-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr behind in Portugal with his mum Dolores for his whirlwind trip to the US.

Ronaldo became a father on June 17 when a mystery mum gave birth to Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

His mum Dolores is helping raise the baby between Madrid and Portugal.

The identity of the mum has never been revealed.

David Beckham reveals chest tattoo of Jesus and angels for the first time

New ink: David Beckaham visited LA tattoo artist Mark Mahoney for his latest piece of body art


David Beckham posted the first pictures of his latest tattoo on Facebook today.

It’s no secret that David is a big fan of body art and Victoria has even joined him with a number of decorative pieces of her own in recent years.

But the 35-year-old latest addition is would look more at home on the ceiling of The Sistine Chapel than on a person’s chest.

The tattoo is of Jesus being lifted by three cherubs, of whom David says symbolise himself and his three sons Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6.

David also posted a video on Facebook explaining why he had the tattoo and what it represents.

‘It’s Jesus being carried by three cherubs and obviously the cherubs are my boys and so my thought of it is that at some point my boys are going to need to look after me and that’s what they’re doing in the picture. It means a lot.’

The tattoo is the handy work of one of LA’s biggest tattoo artists, Mark Mahoney, who has worked on a long list of famous names who include Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

David is just another in a long line of celebrities who have only good words to say about Mark. He added: ‘He’s not a tattooist who goes on and does TV programmes. He’s low key and stays out of things and is very talented. ‘

Mahoney works in West Hollywood at the Shamrock Social Club on The Sunset Strip and says he prides himself on making his customer’s experiences as memorable as possible.


Masterpiece: The tattoo took 12 hours in total


‘It’s called the Shamrock Social Club, not the Shamrock anti-social Club. People come here to relax and have a good time. People always remember the night they got tattooed. That’s one of the things you always remember in life, so I wanted to make that as memorable and as nice an experience as it ever could be.’

David first posted a picture of Mahoney working on his new tattoo back in December of last year . He Tweeted: ‘I want to let you all in on something. Just had a new tattoo done by the legendary Mark Mahoney.’

Today he revealed what an amazing experience it was for him. He added: ‘I had it done 3 months ago, before I left LA. I don’t plan on having a tattoo, but just sometimes I wake up with an idea or an image of what I would like on me.

‘It’s my way of expressing the way I’m feeling. Most of my tattoos are memories or things that mean a lot to me.

‘It was an 8-hour session which lasted until about 3 o’clock in the morning. I then went back a few weeks later and we did another 4 hours. It’s really is amazing.’

He was once the most famous footballer on the planet - but it seems Ronaldo's waist is expanding as his profile shrinks.

The 34-year-old footballing legend, who currently plays for Brazilian team Corinthians after spells at Inter Milan, AC Milan and Real Madrid, was showing off his spreading girth at a glitzy party in St Barts.

Still considered by experts as one of the greatest players of all time, perhaps he could be forgiven for cutting himself some slack with his training of late though.

He's been plagued by a groin injury which had him laid up for much of last year and now the Brazilian season has come to a close.

He was celebrating the start of 2011 with Brazilian popstar Wanessa Camargo and her husband Marcus Buaiz at Nikki Beach Restaurant on the millionaires' favourite Caribbean island.

Born Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, the star is also undergoing some testing times in his private life.

Brazilian newspapers say that he is currently awaiting the results of a paternity test after Brazilian Michele Umez, who now lives in the Far East, claimed he had fathered her five-year-old son Alex.

She supposedly met Ronaldo when he played for Real Madrid and the team was touring Japan.

Ronaldo has said that if the test proves positive he will assume responsibility for the child.


If so, it will be the star's fourth child from three different relationships.

As for his professional career, Ronaldo has a contract till the end of this year with the Sao Paulo club, but he hasn't ruled out quitting at a moment's notice and insists he will not pre-announce his retirement.

He said earlier this year: 'I need to lose weight, find my rhythm and then hope that I feel fine. But one day I will play a game and then simply say that was it.'

Ronaldo has been three times named FIFA's World Player of the Year.

Weight has been an issue in the latter stages of his career, with long lay-offs resulting in a burgeoning waistline.

Corinthians president Andres Sanches is philosophical about his star man's physical condition and said: 'If he was 100 per cent fit, he would not be in Brazil.

'He won't leave. He'll be here for another 10-12 years. He will stay, if not playing, then being an ambassador, executive director or something. Ronaldo and Corinthians was a perfect marriage, so it won't be discarded.'
