Battle lines are drawn with estranged husband Alex Reid as Katie Price changes the locks

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Changing the locks: Katie Price wasted no time in getting the locks and security codes changed at the Surrey house she used to share with Alex Reid

Two days after Alex Reid moved out of the family home, his estranged wife Katie Price is making sure he can't return easily - by changing the locks.

The glamour model, 32, called in a team of experts to overhaul her security systems at her £2million Surrey mansion.

As well as changing the locks and security codes, she also had CCTV cameras installed.

Her security overhaul comes just a year and a half after she did the exact same thing after first husband Peter Andre left her as her previous home in the same village.

Eagle eyes: A man was also seen installing a security camera outside the property

Price's drastic move comes two days after she announced they were separating after less than a year of marriage.

In a lengthy statement issued through her publicist, Price claimed Reid had declined her wishes to leave the family home.

She said: 'It is true that I have asked Alex to leave the family home and that he will not do so. I would leave myself but the house is equipped for Harvey’s needs.

'Alex would like to portray himself as honourable and I hope he acts that way.'

But on Tuesday, he was photographed unpacking his boxes of belongings after moving back to his parents Bob and Carol's house in Hampshire.

Drug bust: Alex Reid's past is coming back to haunt him as it was revealed he was arrested and held during a cocaine investigation

Price's decision to change the locks comes amid revelations the 35-year-old cagefighter was arrested and held during a police investigation into £2million worth of drugs found on a yacht.

Reid was part-owner of the vessel seized in Toulon in France in which 62 kilos of cocaine was found.

Reid admitted he knew two of the men involved in the drug ring through cagefighting, but said he was unaware of the drugs and had 'only suggested opening a boat business with them.'

Alex was released without charge, while seven others were jailed for drug running.
